Springfield Township is seeking applications for a full-time position in the Road Maintenance Department. Candidates must hold a Class B Driver’s License, however Class A is preferred. Some experience with dump truck and snow plow operations is desired but not required. The Township is willing to train successful candidates. The duties of this position consist of, but are not limited to, tree trimming and removal, installing blacktop, storm piping replacements, building maintenance, line painting, winter roadway maintenance, vehicle/equipment maintenance, snow plowing and salting and responding to inclement weather events and emergencies. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and must have the ability to deal tactfully with the public and other employees. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Must have a valid PA Driver’s License.
