CALLING PROCEDURE
To help eliminate confusion over what telephone number to use for various types of calls to the Police Department, the following information is provided:
For emergencies of any nature call 9-1-1 from within Springfield Township. This should also be used to report any crime that is in progress (occurring now) and any traffic accident in which the vehicles are still at the scene.
- To have an officer dispatched to a location, call Bucks County Police Radio at 610-982-5411. This is the most common way to contact the police! It may be used for both emergency and non-emergency.
Use this method to request to see an officer or to have an officer call you back by telephone. However, you will not be able to speak directly to an officer at this number. A dispatcher with the Bucks County Communications Department will answer this phone by first stating their three-digit dispatcher number. Please make note of that identification number, should there be a later need to document what occurred in this call. This is a tape-recorded line!
- To speak directly to a specific officer, or to ask a question, call the main number for the Township, 610-346-6700, and select from the following:
Extension | Officer’s Name |
13 | Next Available Officer |
| 14 | Officer Jacoby |
15 | Officer McDonald |
16 | Officer Laudenslager |
| 17 | Officer Sepulveda |
| Police Fax: | 610-346-8197 |
Remember, voice mail left in a specific Officer's voice mailbox will not be retrieved until his scheduled shift. Messages left on extension #13 will not be retrieved until the duty officer returns to the office. DO NOT use this number for emergencies!
