PRESS RELEASES re. TOWNSHIP BURGLARIES

Location: 500 block of Crowthers Road (10/12/11 [Wed] between 5:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.) - Forced entry was made into a residence with a reported loss of approximately $1,000.

Location: Hilltop Rd between Rte 309 & Highland Rd (9/28/11 [Wed] between 7:45 a.m. & 5:15 p.m.) - Forced entry was made into residence with a total estimated loss of $3,600.

Location: 900 Block of Rte 212 (9/8/11 [Thurs] between 8:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.) Subject(s) forced entry into a home on Rte 212 between California and Pullen Station Rds and removed electronics, jewelry and other items.

Location: 700 block of Passer Road (Between [Sun] 8/28 and [Mon] 8/29; reported to police at 11 a.m., 8/29) Actor(s) forced entry through a side door of a garage/barn and stole a lawn tractor and other lawn care equipment.

Location: 1800 block of Salem Road ([Wed] 8/24 between 9 a.m. & 2 p.m.) Actor(s) forced entry into the residence and removed personal property valued at approximately $1,800.

Location: Cherry and Allison Roads (Between [Tues] 8/23 and [Wed] 8/24; between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.) The actor(s) entered several vehicles in the area during the overnight hours and removed various items from the vehicles.

Location: 3100 block of Drifting Drive (Between 8/17 [Wed] & 8/20/11 [Fri] - 2nd robbery at this location) Springfield Township Police are investigating the second theft of scrap metal on this property. The actor(s) removed a large pile of 1 1/4" stainless steel pipe from the property.

Location: 4000 block of Rte 412 (Between 8/17 [Wed] and 8/19/11 [Thurs]) Springfield Township Police are investigating a burglary/theft in which in excess of $10,000 worth of lawn maintenance equipment was stolen from an outdoor shed.

Location: 3400 Block of Bursonville Road (Between 8/13 [Sat] & 8/14/11 [Sun]) Springfield Police are investigating a burglary of a residence on Bursonville Road in which force was used to gain entry to the home. A large, flat screen television was stolen and multiple home heating radiators were damaged when there was an attempt to remove them for the home.

Location: 3100 block of Drifting Drive (Between 8/8 & 8/13/11 [Mon - Sat]) Springfield Township Police are investigating a theft of scrap metal from a property on Drifting Drive. The actor(s) stole aluminum and copper wire, miscellaneous cast iron items, window air conditioner units, old snow plows and other scrap metal.

Location: Keystone Road near Richlandtown Pk (7/15 [Fri] or 7/16/11 [Sat] between 10 pm & 6 am) Springfield Township Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence on Keystone Road duing the overnight hours. Multiple vehicles were entered and rummaged through, as well as a small shed located on the property.

Location: Kunsman Road (7-14-11 [Thurs] between 10:30 am & 5:15 pm) Springfield Township Police are investigating another burglary that occurred at a residence on Kunsman Road. There was forced entry into the residence. Loss estimated at $1600.

Location: Peppermint and State Road (7-8-11 [Fri] during daytime) Springfield Township Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred while the homeowners were at work during the day and both involved forced entry into the residences.
